Expert Reveals 5 Tasty And Healthy Salad Recipes








Adding a salad in your daily diet is one of the easiest ways of eating healthy. Being rich in various nutrients and low in calories, they make you feel fuller without letting you worry about gaining unwanted weight. Other good things about salad include the ease of preparation and the variety that you can have in them every day.
Although these reasons are tempting enough to make salad a part of our everyday life, but many of us do not find them very tasty. Well, if you are one of them, then here are some delicious salad recipes for you.

#1. Vegetable Salad

Method:

  • Put the chopped vegetables in boiling water for three to five minutes and then strain it.
  • Mix in a bowl the strained vegetables, chopped capsicum, and all other ingredients.
  • Serve it chilled.

#2. French Beans Salad

Method:

  • In a kadhai (wok), heat the olive oil, and sauté garlic and the French beans for two to three minutes.
  • Add soya sauce, chilli paste, vinegar, salt, and sesame seeds to it.
  • Toss it well.
  • Serve hot.

#3. Lettuce Wraps

Method:

  • Take extra virgin olive oil in a kadhai and heat it.
  • Sauté the red capsicum, yellow capsicum and green capsicum with corn, for five minutes.
  • Add pineapple, soya sauce, vinegar, chilli paste, crumbled paneer and salt.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Wash lettuce leaves and place them on a plate.
  • Add the sautéed mix on top of the lettuce.
  • Now, wrap the leaves and serve.

#4. Water Chestnut (singhara) and Pomegranate Salad

Method:

  • Peel the water chestnuts. Cut in two halves.
  • Take extra virgin olive oil in a kadhai and heat it.
  • Add hing and chopped water chestnuts to the kadhai.
  • Sauté for about three to four minutes.
  • Add pepper and salt.
  • Remove from flame and add pomegranate.
  • Serve it chilled.

#5. Methi Salad

Method:

  • Wash the methi leaves and keep them aside to dry properly.
  • Take oil in a pan and heat it. Add mustard seeds and once it crackles little, add hing. Now, switch off the gas and allow it to cool. Once it has cooled down, add salt, lemon, honey, and mix it properly. Now, keep it in the refrigerator so that it becomes chilled.
  • Add walnuts, raisins and sesames to the methi leaves, and then add the chilled dressing.
  • Mix well and serve.
